I got the ring so it's official!

So Michael bought me an engagement ring a couple of weeks back. I, of course, knew about it because he isnt great with keeping secrets. I have been DYING to wear it and I would beg for it on a daily basis. I have even snuck it out a few times (bc his hiding spot wasnt too hard to find) and tried it on for size. *Shhhh!* Well Michael has been telling me that it will be worth the wait and blah blah blah. But I again begged and he made a deal with me that I couldnt complain later on that he didnt do a big proposal so I agreed and he gave in. Its perfect and I get teary-eyed everytime I look at it. I have only waited for oh, about, 10 YEARS for this!

Stressful times...

So, I have been incredibly stressed lately. I think its because so much needs to be done and its kinda all out of my hands. I am thankful that I do not have to work for the rest of my pregnancy but I feel like I am bringing nothing to the table. I have this urge to make as much money as I can before the baby gets here but lets face it, no one is going to hire a preggo chick who will need to take time off a couple of monthes after starting. And since I'm not going to work after the baby it makes no sense. But anywho, I still feel worthless. So I basically stay on Michael's ass about everything. I dont mean to but we just have so much to do. A couple of things on our list are: get married, add me to Michael's insurance plan, find a house to buy, buy things for our house, buy things for baby, sign up for birth classes, pay for delivery etc.

Speaking of house buying....that shit is stressful! Sometimes I just think we need to rent for awhile longer. But IDK! I hate how Michael and I have been faced with so many life changes all at once. Most people get to get engaged, then a year later get married, then wait- save money- and buy a house, then have a baby, blah blah. But we are doing EVERYTHING all at once. All of this stress has definitely pushed both of us to the point of exhaustion a few times so far. But we just keep on truckin'. If we didn't love eachother so much then we wouldnt have ever made it. But aside from my emotional breakdowns we have been pretty good so far. Michael doesnt show his stress the same as me. I cry and cry and cry while he just gets quiet and takes care of business. I really am so proud of him and I know that times like this only strengthen a couples relationship. I'll keep ya updated on the house hunting.

What is it with pregnancy and the inability to make decisions? I feel like I can't even decide what I want to eat anymore. I used to be such a quick decision maker and now its so different. Oh how I can't wait to get my old self back. Don't get me wrong, I love being pregnant. But the hormones can really eff a chick up. Haha.

Okay so I promised not to ramble in my last post so sorry.... Better luck next time.

*Oh and I have some really exciting news that I will post about once I have some pics.*

Kicking away...

So about 2 weeks ago (July 1st to be exact) I felt baby Avery kick for the first time. I was sitting in my mom's office when I thought I felt some rumbling in my tummy. I wasnt sure if it was gas or not but I waited and sure enough there was no tooting or burping that followed. I had always heard that the first kicks felt like bubbles or a fluttering butterfly and that was exactly what it seemed like. But since then the kicking has gotten stronger and more frequent. I feel this baby ALL day long! Anytime I eat, sit down, lay down, get in the car, etc. All it takes is for me to slow down for just a second and he starts kicking away. It was so cool because Michael was even able to feel it. I always thought that I would have to be alot further along for Michael to feel it but thats not true. Everytime we get a sonogram the Dr or sonographer always make comments on how active he is. I guess that can't really be a bad thing except for the fact that when he gets bigger I am really gonna be uncomfortable. Oh well, that's okay because surprisingly enough I really enjoy feeling him kick. It just reminds me that I really AM pregnant and not swelling around my stomach for some odd reason.

Anyways, so far I have read The Girlfriend's Guide to Surviving Pregnancy, Pregnancy Sucks, What to Expect When You are Expecting, and currently...The Happiest Baby on the Block. Who knew I would be so interested in all of this? I guess its my motherly instincts kicking in and I just feel like I cant be prepared enough. I have quite a few other books that are waiting for me to crack open. Mostly books about how to raise a little boy. To be honest, having a little boy was the last thing I ever thought that I wanted. I only wanted it because Michael wanted it so badly. I am so afraid that I wont do something right and my little boy will turn into a punk ass kid. Kinda like the one that Michael was....haha. From being around my neices and nephews I have been able to see that there really is such a difference in boys and girls. I believe that they HAVE to be raised completely differently. I want to raise a little boy that will one day turn into a great man. One who girls would love to marry and also who parents would love their daughters to marry. I feel like there is so much pressure when raising a boy versus a girl. Maybe I am thinking too far down the road but this is what I worry about. Michael thinks I am crazy and that may be because he knows what to do with boys. Kinda like I know what to do with little girls.

Its so crazy how last year at this time I was worrying about what outfits to bring to Las Vegas and now I am worrying about baby bedding and little boys. Haha! Wow, life sure is crazy!

I'm off to take a bath and read some more. I promise not to ramble so much in my next post. =)

Oh yeah....It's a BOY!!!

I guess I skipped that part...oops! Michael & I were able to find out the sex at our 16 weeks sono. My mom and I knew what to look for during the sono so when we saw a penis flash by the screen we both gasped. Michael was like, "What?! What did you see?" But the sonographer wasnt able to determine just yet because Avery kept putting his hands between his legs. Then Dr. Trimmer came in and pulled it right up. Once again Mom and I gasped! Michael again wasnt sure what he was looking at until the Dr typed in B-O-Y with an arrow pointing right to the goods. Michael jumped up and was SOOO excited! In 10 years I have probably never seen him so happy. He of course, didnt pay much attention to the rest of the sonogram because he was so busy calling and texting everyone. I guess 10 fingers and 10 toes isnt that important as long as the baby has a penis....right? It was also the first time that I ever heard Michael ask if we could to go to the mall. He wanted to go and get some boy clothes ASAP! So off to Northpark we went. Michael pooped out about an hour in to Mom's and my shopping spree but he got an A for effort. ;)

Baby Bedding

Why is it so hard for me to make a decision on which baby bedding to buy? I seriously stress out about it and I even dreamt about crib bedding last night. I guess I am the typical preggo when it comes to things like this. I feel like this is the most important decision in the world. I think, if I use light colors the room will be caliming but then the baby wont have all of the bold colors to stimulate his mind. But then, if I use stimulating colors then the baby wont be able to relax and be calm in his room. Oh Lord, I know it sounds so silly but its soooo hard!!!! Haha! Okay so here are some baby bedding sets that I like. Let me know what you think. I need HELP!!
